The CrossFit Games, an annual showcase of global athletic prowess, challenges athletes worldwide with a diverse array of workouts and competitions. In 2023, I had the privilege of working on main broadcast and in-venue LED graphics through my work with SMT. My work on this event involved refining essential elements such as the Broadcast HAT, Broadcast Leaderboard, Broadcast Score Bugs, and internal In-Venue Clocks. Additionally, I spearheaded the creation of animations for the onsite LED ribbon boards, ensuring they aligned seamlessly with the brand guidelines and broadcast elements.
The subsequent year marked an exciting new chapter for CrossFit with a refreshed brand identity. I got the opportunity to lead the SMT creative team in updating and enhancing the broadcast and in-venue graphics to harmonize with the new design vision.
Working on the CrossFit Games is always invigorating, with events unfolding throughout the year. The breadth of creative deliverables for this event presents unique challenges to tackle, but it's an event that is immensely rewarding to see every element seamlessly come together onsite.
